Don't compensate just on years of service but other areas as well. There are people who have been here 10 years getting the highest increase each year, but doing little work compared to others.
I wish there was an option to get a pay increase based on performance and not just years of service. There are people who have been here 10+ years getting the highest annual increase, but do less work than those who have been here less time. There needs to be more balance.
