Generally easy going with operations
I love how transparent and open they are regarding the business. They welcome new ideas and make you feel a part of the team instantly.
Transparent, easy to approach, down-to-earth, caring about both business and people, curious, creative, and fun.
SDC's leadership team has a real passion for what we do. Leaders at all levels across all functions are heavily invested in the customer experience and continually improving the journey, and they are highly knowledgable about all aspects of the business.
Flexibility, They Care and are available to all !
Everything! Especially Employee health and wellness
Actually listening to their employees. Not just taking a stance based on metrics that are inaccurate. Hurts the employee and the company.
Coaching and Informing it's team members of changes due to commission based compensation.
ETHICS, communication, work/life balance, professionalism, conduct, and treating others fairly
They need to put themselves in our shoes, by realizing that we’re taking fault for people not having $2000 in their account when they enter the door, or because we offer a “free” appointment so people don’t think they have to buy the product that day

It's always our goal to provide support to our team members in guiding our customers through all aspects of the journey from payment to care. That said, we know that it's an investment. Please reach out to your leaders and people support to discuss.
The company really stresses work-life balance, so the unlimited PTO policy for salaried managers is a perk.
it is the most generous in my 35 year career.
Excellent benefits and best aligners!!
Stock compensation and fair salary
The bonus structure is great
I feel undervauled because I was offered one pay rate but once I started they changed the pay rate. This company can't be trusted when going through the offer process.
SDC has failed to care for their long-term employees and brings on new employees with less experience for the same position with a substantially higher salary.
the whole notion around working 25/8 (instead of 24/7) is highly pushed for here. If you don’t answer emails out of work hours (such as 11pm or 3am), you will get reprimanded. there is no such thing as work/life balance or integration and th
I am paid $20K less per year than my male peers with equivalent experience.
PTO is one of worst in Nashville. Also for a tech company that's trying to be in with millennials (casual dress, fun office events, cool office space), there aren't other over the top perks that truly make it hard to imagine leaving SDC like flexible working hours, work from home, lunch benefits etc

We appreciate you leaving us a review and are concerned to see this. Please reach out to your People & Organization Business Partner so that we can collect feedback and make improvements or email us at [email protected].
Working with a lot of really smart people, building something together from the ground up.
All are open to new ideas and the teaming is the best.
Constant communication is on point!!
Empathy, tolerance, respect, skills, and attitude
The people I worked with. Period.
High and retain individuals who aren't just managements friends.
I like most of my coworkers but management needs to improve drastically
I might not be the best person in the world, but some coworkers lack empathy and people skills.

We're concerned by this, as we expect empathy and respect from all team members. We sure hope you will share with your leader and people support at [email protected].
Share knowledge, provide feedback, support each other.
We need better communication and less attacking of one another. We are one team, and should work to help one another in our various areas of expertise. The work environment used to be enjoyable and positive. Right now unfortunately it's full of negativity, drama, complaining, and egos.

This is disappointing to hear, as we take pride in the positive work environment you described experiencing at one point. If anything threatens that, we certainly want it to be addressed. We sure hope you will reach out further.
Everyone is very engaged and wants to see the organization thrive.
Constant collaboration, an environment of trust and empowerment. You are given ownership from day 1 and your leaders and teammates support you in every possible way. We also smile and have fun here!
The most positive would be the company being generally the break through company in teledentistry.
it is the type of culture you dream of and hope you will find in a workplace. I had to keep pinching myself when I first started work at Smile Direct Club to make sure it wasn't a DREAM !
I am allowed to work remote and still have the ability to interactive with my peers
Ethics, fair treatment across the board, honesty, coaching and training, career paths, and work/life balance
needs to recognize professionalism, hard work and create more goals to get motivation

This is great feedback -- goal setting is important, and we certainly want to ensure that our team members feel appreciated for their hard work. We will keep this in mind, and we hope you'll reach out further at [email protected].
The company needs to look at it's leadership. There is a disconnect from the CEO, Regionals etc down to the DMs. The DMs push hard, too hard, for performance. They push for terminations and write ups a month in to a new hire starting. CHECK YOUR DMs!

We appreciate this feedback, as it's incredibly important for communication within our org chart to flow with understanding and respect. We'll certainly keep this in mind, and we hope you will reach out to people support to discuss further.
There is a high expectation for selling which stresses out employees and leaders. We feel so much pressure daily that we lose sight of the customers experience at time. DM's and up make us feel bad about ourselves when we don't perform.

We're disappointed to see this, as we certainly always want the customer and team member experience to be positive. We trust the feedback and perspective of our team, and we hope you will share input with your leaders and people support.
The leaders (not all of them) need to be humble and help the people, not chase them as if they are prisoners. The company is amazing, but some people are making this entire experience traumatizing.

This is disheartening, as we want all team members to feel safe and supported in their work environment. Leadership is a big part of that, and this will be a major focus as we continue to grow. Thank you for sharing, and we hope you will continue to.
I enjoyed being able to tour the facility and meet multiple leaders. I was able to gain a clear picture of the type of organization they are and knew I wanted to join the team.
how the conversation was fluent
Panel interviews - getting to meet with your peers.
My direct hire was awesome!!!
Speaking to my future boss about and how straightforward they were
Actually honor what you offer in your interview process. Offered one pay rate in writing and then they didn't honor such when I was onboarded.
P&O needs to be more organize and improve their response timing.
Consistency in questions, on topic questions
The process had me do a FaceTime interview with 2 people and then I was hired. Really easy, but clearly not thorough. Also, there were lies told about "super fast advancement", "no pressure selling", "development focused". This is hype. This does not actually happen.

We're confused to see this, as we take pride in the stories of growth that so many of our team members have experienced here at SDC. It's our goal to make career paths clear, and we hope you will speak to your leader about your growth goals.
Had to wait outside the installation for a long time, the lead who proceed with the interview was rude and not helpful, almost as if they don't care at all.

We're concerned to see this, as this is not in line with our expectations or standards in any way. We sure hope you will reach out to discuss further at [email protected].
The people I work with and the positive environment.
Being able to help others
Talking to my team mates and developing skills
Making a customers dream come true
Learning SO MUCH about the new. You an have your plate full, and your calendar stretched, but you are being challenged in growth as our company is so new. If you are not INSPIRED by growth, you are in the wrong business.
What's going wrong is the leadership and management levels in between. This is a dead end job as their is no growth without being related or friends with management. They will find ways to push you out.
The company is corrupt 1000000% to it's customers AND employee's.
the lack of ethical practices, the poor treatment of employees, favoritism, lack of work/life balance, benefits, pay
We work at a fast pace. Communication is key to keeping everyone on the journey together. There's a balance between over-communicating and not communicating enough of the right info at the right time.

Communication is certainly important, and we want to ensure that our team members feel well informed and heard. Thank you for your awesome feedback!
TREAT EVERYONE THE SAME ITS NOT HARD TO DO.

We agree -- we certainly want every team member at SDC to feel equally valued and appreciated. We couldn't do what we do without our amazing team. If you'd like to speak further, please reach out to [email protected].
The public beat down on shops with low close rate did not go unnoticed. Yea, don’t do that. Forcing the fear of reprimand to shops and team members is not how you cultivate a good customer experience. Sham
