When I came I was very hopeful and saw so much potential to help grow our department, build our team, and make a difference. The politics and toxicity have dashed those hopes. I don't think they see the forest for the trees. People first means everyone, not just shareholders

They have good hearts and really want to do the best for the company. They have not been given a fair opportunity to do the exceptional job I know they can
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
As a "people first" company I have yet to see the people be put first in my department. They would do well to address the systemic toxicity and instead of bottom line numbers listen to what the employees are actually saying.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The lack of accountability and oversight with vendors and consultants creates more work, causes reputational harm, and makes our jobs more difficult. The treatment of employees and failure to listen to their years of experience in the industry pushes away top talent as evident by the exodus experie
