Starting as a contractor, they do their best to delay conversion to full time. Any raises, no matter how minimal, need to be fought for. They expect you to be grateful to work here and loyal, while upper management/executives show little to no appreciation. Corporate politics are also rife here.

When problems are resolved quickly, as it means less stress
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Market wages. SSI consistently pays lower than market wage. If we'd like a raise, it's an extreme fight regardless of our productivity
What are some of the best things about your team?
Great, kind, caring people that work hard and do their best. It makes it a pleasure to see them and work with them on projects.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
All the employees and low level managers are great people and fun to talk with. The employees come from all over and we have a relatively diverse group.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
My manager is phenomenal and tries his absolute best to ensure that we are not overworked and that we have what we need. However, he has to constantly fight the director for anything and try to minimize stress. The director makes no effort to take our workload and work/life balance into account
