Working remotely has been beneficial for me in regards to doing what I like to do in finance and accounting. Rollovers for PTO should be higher than 56 hours, and at least be 80. I'm not fond of the lack of advancements, no bonuses, and the low pay with our employment here. This should be fixed.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I'd say the convenience of working remotely makes getting our job duties and tasks done very efficiently and promptly.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I do like the fact that we have weekly meetings to get updated on important financial items that need to be discussed, whether they deal with important deadlines, key technical issues where needed, being able to speak out about various thoughts with the work we do, etc...
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
It would be great based on the current economic market to be paid more fairly, and also have compensations like an actual bonus every year. This is something we don't have, and it also seems very challenging to progress in this organization based on my experiences.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I do like the fact that we can work remotely and connect with our coworkers through the skype messaging platform. However, the appswe use are very old and it seems confusing why the organization isn't updating their application platforms like utilizing teams instead of skype to communicate.
What makes you most happy at work?
I'm utilizing the knowledge and skills I've obtained in college and throughout my career working in previous jobs in the finance and accounting field. I'm glad I can determine how to analyze and asses problems and situations, and go about resolving what needs to be resolved in the current job I do.
