I was originally hired for Healthcare Cust Svc, but was sent to Pension to help with phone coverage. I liked it so much, I applied to transfer here, and now I am thriving in this dept. I also got a promotion from Phone rep to Processor, and I help train new Phone reps.
What makes you most happy at work?
Getting to tell a Participant that they will be getting much more in their pension than they expected.
What are some of the best things about your team?
We all communicate very well, and are super willing to help each other out. We have a team potluck at least once a quarter.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
The average salary for a Pension Processor in Washington State is about $32-38 per hour. I currently get a little over $29/hr. The Dental coverage currently covers only 85%. This should be better.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I have a manager that is helpful and understanding. The team is great to get along with, and I look forward to coming in to the office. For the job itself, I like that we get to help people get set up with their pension in their retirement years.
