It is a good old boys club. No room for advancement in my division. No collaboration between IT and Retail, no real collaboration between the 2 sides of our IT Department. Deployment is not held to the same standard as field services and can get away with doing the jobs halfway. Very demoralizing work environment. Management doesn't go out of their way to solve problems until corporate starts asking questions. Ideas are only good if they come from the top down. Ideas from the techs that might change the status quo, even if it is a good idea, are routinely shot down. No ones gives input on conference calls cause they know that the idea will be dismissed immediately or told that it will be looked into and nothing ever happens.
This explains a lot.

Benefits include help with college, (limited degree options) They offer assistance to take Management Classes, and they post openings in all departments in all stores in the area.

I wish we wouldn't have bought Safeway. Wish we would have used Albertsons ideas to run our division. We won't be around much longer if it keeps going the way it is now.
