What do you like best about the leadership team?
They understand that they can't ask much given what they pay.
Local leadership try their best to provide work life balance. Paid time off was taken away, with a promise of unlimited vacation time. The catch is, "if it is approved".

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Empathizing with employees and better communication.
How they speak and communicate to the front end staff, cashiers, baggers, etc. Zero professionalism
Be more organized,less critical and more supportive

My rate of payment is a somewhat liveable wage in Montana which is higher than the typical average in Livingston MT

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Remove the expectation that the hard working employees do the job of multiple employees
A wage that gave me purchasing power that my position offered 20 years ago.
People are cattle in that place, we need training and recognition for a job well done.
Upper management has no clue whatsoever how to effectively run the stores
Pay people a liveable wage based on years of experience.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
I know you are old and set in your ways, but if you want to retire in 10 or so years you need to at least know how to use excel, outlook etc. The younger generation is not here to teach you stuff you should have been picking up over time.

Better training for coworkers booty management. Some do not know what they are doing nor do they care as long as they get somewhat done and get signed out by someone who does not know what is going on it will not look at the sign out sheet

They are very dumb. Don't show up to work or late every day. Poor attitude. No sense of pride or urgency. They way it looks you get what you pay for. You use to have to know someone to get a job at Jewel. Now if you have a heart beat you are hired.

Occasionally customers will thank you for a job well done, and most of the time your fellow coworkers can at least understand the stress you face working day to day and are fairly good at cheering you up.

Leadership needs to focus on all areas especially IT culture

I walked up to the store director Ellie and asked if she needed employees and told her I had scheduling reatrauctuons due to being a parent and she hired me on the spot and told me to come in to start power point training the following Monday- when she was on vacation. She gave me a 6-3 sandwich mak

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
The managers need a slap to the face and needs to know their place, they abused my hard work ethic to make me do things they didnt want to do and i got tired of it
Associates that work there for years are getting paid the same amount as people that are walking through the door. They are putting on trained and not helping to train associates in management positions.
Pop up visit the stores would make you company 100% better you could see the real deal.
