Abbott Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Not much corporate culture and environment

they say what the mean, and mean what they say. They have embraced the core values of the organization and act on them day in and day out.

Review from Operations Dept

A friendly environment where I can express myself freely.

Review from Business Development Dept

everyone goes out of their way to be nice, regardless of it being genuine or not.

Everyone has been helpful so fa

Caring and achieving culture and trust

Review from Sales Dept

Team supports each other as best they can.

They all know each others families

Voice of employees count to the managerial staff

They have team building sport activities

Work life balance is a major thing. Apart from this people are eager to learn and help others learn

feel inclusion into the company

The most positive about the company's cultures is the integrity, the fairness and the diversity

Review from Sales Dept

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Better and more educated leadership

company culture needs to change

Have more flexibility when it comes to hybrid work. It's essentially non-existent.

Listen to employees. Change the leadership in nutrition business. This is the worse leadership team

Executive leadership needs to change

Not operating like its 1950, and seeking to strip power from employees

Let go of old ideas of how to get the best out of people. It is a strange place.

Start to listen and engage with employees in meaning full way Not some fancy program this is what Abbott historically and why we are successful company. Bonus and remuneration is set with short term goals and objectives they need to be over longer period

Better management and communication at work.

Our senior management team needs to stop living in the past. We are not the premier employer in town any more. New hires can no longer be expected to be lifers. Benefits no longer attract. Culture does. No one wants to live to work as we do. They need to start truly listening and caring.

Management needs to say what they mean and mean what they say.

The leaders need to listen to team feedback, they need to hold themselves accountable. Leadership needs to hire Directors and Managers that know the subject(s) to which they are to lead vs. reliance on "seniority" within the company.

Respect employees and acknowledge that they also have personal liy

Highly aggressive management team with expectations that interfere with work-life balance

Review from Operations Dept

Better balance of work across all teams. Some people are working like crazy, pulling along others (some accomplish tasks in 1 day, whereas others take 3 days - yet this inequality in contribution is tolerated). Managers need to OWN actions, rather than just forward their work around.

More breaks More team meetings

Review from Operations Dept

To train people on how to be better managers. For leadership and HR team to take employee concerns and complaints seriously and not turn a blind eye, despite high attrition and unhappiness within the team.

Review from Communications Dept

Have the right people lead and develop your people. No one has a sense of future...

Review from Engineering Dept

Boost moral, appreciate employees , communicate with employees
