This publicly traded company does nothing to improve the morale of its workers. There should be no reason a sports store ever has a "slow point" where there "arent enough hours" to go around while also reporting high profits. Practices like these are why the retail industry needs a union.

Everyone works. All that's missing is the solidarity.
What makes you most happy at work?
I generally enjoy helping people. Helping someone find an item is always a good moment.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
As far as executive leadership is concerned, I feel they really need to focus on the fact that their workers are just as important as the customers.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Phrasing from a memo addressed to the employees during the Covid pandemic comes to mind "More strategic budgeting" Perhaps that should mean a better focus on those that kept the business running during?
What did you like most about the interview process?
The in-person portion More and more companies are implementing video interviews, which are not only highly impersonal, but almost hostile toward those who may not be fortunate for a phone with a good camera or even a web cam.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
The pay. Pure and simple. For how much the company makes [through overall sales and revenue generated from credit cards], there is no reason anyone should have to live paycheck to paycheck because of the decisions of the ruling class.
