Certain coworkers specifically regular salesfloor associates.
To lead, guide, and help better. Instead of favoritism, putting down, and talking down to their associates, specifically speaking about certain managers and certain leads.
There needs to be better teamwork, leadership and guidance. Managers need more of taking into consideration what seniority workers know and feel and less favoritism.
Managers need to actually hire people who have worked in retail before or hire more responsible and team working associates. Managers seem to hire the first people who apply instead of filtering out people who have compassion and geniality.
There needs to be better communication. When there is communication from Associates to managers they fail to help out or take action. Academy Sports and Outdoors is not a comfortable working environment and is stressful just knowing having to work here. Needs to be less favoritism and more guidance.
I've been working there for 12 years for that to not even matter. You would think working at Academy Sports and Outdoors for that long would, but a manager who just started with the company comes in, start doing things his way and doesn't take into consideration what seniority workers know or feel.
