Operations roles are paid less than Consulting or Strategy roles. The reason is that there is no expectation of travel. So, salaries target the local average for a similar role. Also, roles tend to be in lower-cost locations, so comparing a salary for the same level between operations in San Antonio and Strategy in New York City may reveal a difference of 50%.
Staggered. Some folks get paid well, others paid pretty poorly comparatively. I think it starts somewhere around $15/hour for level 12 and then $20/hour for level 10. 9 and up are salaried.
Pay for operations roles is similar to industry roles of the same level and scope. They tend to be the normal Monday to Friday job with limited or no travel.
It's...okay. Everyone below level 9 (10 or higher) feels like they should be paid slightly more.
