Nancy Kukovich, CEO of Adelphoi, is a skilled executive with more than 40 years of experience in advocacy and human services.
Beginning as the Executive Vice President in 2011, Nancy was appointed CEO of Adelphoi in 2015. Adelphoi is a non-profit organization serving at-risk, abused, neglected and delinquent youth and families through a broad continuum of care that includes group homes, foster care, adoption, behavioral health services, education and in-home services.
During her tenure, Nancy has grown Adelphoi from a $44 million agency to a $60 million dollar organization with programs in 30 counties. Today the agency serves as a leading provider of programming for youth and families in Pennsylvania, with approximately 2,500 youth and families served each year. The organization has also became the largest provider of Multisystemic Therapy services in the state of Pennsylvania, as well as the largest residential provider.
Prior to her current position at Adelphoi, Nancy was CEO of the United Way of Westmoreland County for 10 years. While there, she served on the board of Adelphoi, eventually assuming positions of Treasurer and Vice Chair. Before moving to Westmoreland County, she worked as the CEO of United Way of Pennsylvania, and as the Deputy Director of the County Commissioner’s Association of Pennsylvania (CCAP), a position she held for ten years. With CCAP, Nancy represented county government human service before the State’s Administration and General Assembly. She also served three years in the Secretary’s Office of the PA Department of Public Welfare and was director of the human service office for Union and Snyder Counties.
Nancy has served on the boards of directors of both Easter Seals of Pennsylvania and of Southwest Pennsylvania, Leadership Pittsburgh, Inc., Westmoreland Citizen’s Advisory Board for Parks and Recreation, the Staunton Farm Foundation, Southwestern PA Partnership on Aging, the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children, NAMI, Pittsburgh Today, Pennsylvania Council for Children Youth and Families, and PA 2-1-1. She currently chairs the Women’s President Association.
Nancy received a bachelor’s degree from Gustavus Adolphus College, and attended the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. She has received the Athena Award in Westmoreland County as well as the Community Service Award from the Greensburg-Jeannette chapter of the NAACP.
Nancy resides in Manor with her husband, former State Senator Allen Kukovich.
