Mr. Francis S. Soistman, Jr. has been an Executive Vice President of Government Services at Aetna Inc., since June 14, 2013 and served as its Head of The Government Services Segment. Mr. Soistman Co-Founded Jessamine Healthcare, Inc. and served as its Executive Vice President. He led Aetna's Medicare business, helping oversee the Medicare components of the Coventry Health Care acquisition as well as the 2014 Medicare bids for Aetna and Coventry. He held leadership roles with Coventry Health Care, including head of the Individual Consumer and Government Business Division. He served as an Executive Vice President of Health Plan Operations of Coventry Health Care of Georgia, Inc. from January 1, 2005 to June 2009. He served as an Executive Vice President of Government, Individual Plans and Health Plan Operations of Coventry Health Care Inc. from January 1, 2005 to March 2, 2009 and Senior Vice President from April 1998 to January 1, 2005. Mr. Soistman served as President and Chief Executive Officer of HealthAmerica Pennsylvania, Inc., a subsidiary of Coventry Health Care Inc. since May 1998. He served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of HealthAssurance Pennsylvania, Inc., a subsidiary of Coventry Health Care Inc. from July 2001 to January 2005. He served as Regional Vice President of Principal Health Care, Inc., from December 1994 to March 1998. From January 1983 to March 1994, Mr. Soistman served various positions with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Maryland and its subsidiary companies. He serves as a Member of Consulting Board at Planet Technologies, Inc. From April 1994 to December 1994, he served as Executive Director of Principal Health Care of the Mid-Atlantic, Inc., a wholly owned managed health care subsidiary of one of Principal's subsidiaries. In June 2004, Mr. Soistman was a recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year?? award in the Healthcare Technology/Services category.
