Executive Bio

Mr. Mark Laborde has been Head of Southeast Region at Aetna Inc since July 2013 and serves as its Senior Vice President. Mr. LaBorde has held a variety of field and corporate positions, primarily in sales and customer service. He is a member of the Dean's Council of the School of Health, University of North Florida and a member of the Florida Health Insurance Advisory Board (FHIAB) chaired by the state insurance commissioner. Mr. LaBorde was President of the Board of Directors for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of North Florida. He graduated from Emory University in Atlanta. He holds a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, in conjunction with the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
