He is responsible for leading critical enterprise and business initiatives that enable and advance Aetna's strategy. Mr. Jelinek was Operating Partner at Advent International Corporation. He served as Chief Executive Officer at AmeriChoice Corporation. He served as Executive Vice President at Lifemark Corporation. He served as a Director of RedBrick Health Corporation since August 6, 2014 until October 16, 2017. He serves as Member of Advisory Board at HLM Venture Partners. He served as a Director of Sutter Health. Before his role at Advent, Mr. Jelinek served as Chief Executive Officer of OptumHealth. In his 19 years at UnitedHealth, he oversaw several divisions as Chief Executive Officer, including the UnitedHealth's emerging businesses group, population health management, Senior and Retiree services and Medicaid operations. He also has an extensive background on the provider side. Mr. Jelinek holds a master's degree in health services administration and MBA from the University of Michigan, as well as a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Southern California.
