What do you like best about the leadership team?

The VPs have really stepped up their interactions with the properties. Our results & reporting are being analyzed at a higher frequency & now and we are being provided quality guidance for improvement. The Corporate Accounting has made many changes that were rough at first, but they are way better!

Invest in the people who want to stay and grow with the company.

I think they have been open and honest as much as possible about the fails and successes of the company.

They try to keep the team happy and engaged.

The leadership team needs to improve by reducing micromanagement and placing greater trust in employees. Empowering trustworthy team members to do their jobs without constant oversight or fear would foster a more positive, productive, and confident work environment.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Compensation Reviews

Max 10% annual bonus is nice, but I probably wouldn't say it's the best part, since it has not been fulfilled since I joined.

Competitive pay and unlimited PTO for directors and above.

Best part of the compensation package is the 401k company match.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

I feel undervalued because I was promised something regarding my compensation that ultimately did not turn out to be true. When expectations are set and not fulfilled, it creates disappointment and impacts trust.

The compensation and the tasks are not aligned.

In a highly volatile economy and market that was forecasted to be down, our bonus structure became unobtainable. I love that it is based on improvement, but we were forecasted as a region to have downward performance and pushed to budget unrealistic financial goals. We worked more, paid less.

The pay range and cost of benefits do not align with the current cost of living.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

The industry is struggling to pull qualified candidates. We would benefit as a company to have more training per leadership position. Many leaders struggle with what is expected from them that are typical hotel leadership duties. Aimlink is great, I think there needs to be some in person courses.

ACCOUNTING SKILLS WOULD HELP. TO BE ABLE TO RECONCILE ACCOUNTS, UNDERSTANDING THE INFORMATION THEY WORK WITH. NEED THINKERS NOT ASSEMPLY LINE WORKERS.

They aren't given the tools to do their jobs properly.

Hold people accountable for their actions.

It's work, it's part of the routine.

if we increase the work from home days to two would decrease my commute costs and more productivity time.

DISPITE TRYING TO PULL THE GM'S INTO THE CLOSE PICTURE, THEY HAVE NOT CHANGED. THE LEVELS ABOVE THE GMS DO NOT BELEIVE IN HELPING THE CLOSE PROCESS AND DO NOT SUPPORT THE CORPORATE ACCOUNTING TEAM. WE ARE DEPENDENT ON THE GMS FOR INFO FOR BLACKLINE, 20% CHANCE WE WILL GET THAT INFORMATION FROM THEM.
