I like that they seem down to earth and approachable. I met Craig Smith briefly in Orlando and he was very kind and did not seem to have a big head about him. I also like Chris O'Donnell, I met him in Orlando as well and he is approachable and I like the direction he is taking with the SS Team.

We are all over the place with no direction

It is the general consensus here that the company is focused more on making money and keeping the bottom line tight than caring about employees. The GM seems disconnected from the workers and everyone here thinks he would sacrifice anyone at any time so that he can get his bonus. Hire empathetic GM!

The corporate office team is hard to work with

Not say " its not my job " . Cooperate at work and not let one person do the job. Clean up after themselves. Help each other. be respectful to each other.

We have a bit of a grouping environment and unfortunately I didn't fit in (or didn't make enough effort to fit in) so I constantly feel left out

My employees that I inherited, need improvement. I have tried to work with them and train them with no avail. Now that I have tried my hardest and they aren't changing, they need to go. I have several write ups for one and was told by HR that I cannot terminate.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

I like what Aimbridge preaches, I like our pillars and our values, but as a GM it can be difficult to have the team buy in when they feel like they have been burned by above property before.

Management needs to be on top of work , it feels as if they don't want to take responsibility and all the work is given to only two managers out of 9.

We work in the basement but our desks are really small. The building is old and we've had water damage in our office. The hotel does take care of us when the water is damaged but since we're in Sales I feel like we can just work from home and use our office space for operations. I WFH 2 days.

Above property needs to work on saving face with the on property, line level staff. My team feels like above property does not care about them. We see leaders visit Full Service, just because we aren't glamourous does not mean we do not deserve attention.
