Review from HR Dept · Posted 20 hours ago

I like what Aimbridge preaches, I like our pillars and our values, but as a GM it can be difficult to have the team buy in when they feel like they have been burned by above property before.

It is truly built in this hotel from the GM and the people that work here. I do not feel that our culture is influenced that much from the corporate level and often feel that I need to make excuses to my team for decisions made by corporate.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

Better pay. Retrain your directors and hotel manager. Make us want to stay

Review from Admin Dept · Posted 3 days ago

Practice what we preach, better leadership, caring about the employees and showing it

Review from Operations Dept · Posted 7 days ago

Management needs to be on top of work , it feels as if they don't want to take responsibility and all the work is given to only two managers out of 9.

Review from Customer Support Dept

We work in the basement but our desks are really small. The building is old and we've had water damage in our office. The hotel does take care of us when the water is damaged but since we're in Sales I feel like we can just work from home and use our office space for operations. I WFH 2 days.

heck yesss heck yass yes

To improve culture, focus on strengthening communication, strategizing, and collaboration across disciplines. Foster a bigger-picture mindset and reduce dictation. Enable questioning, team-led strategy, and experimentation. Create a RACI framework and complete a Gap Analysis to streamline processes.

Communication needs alot of work

Review from Engineering Dept

management needs to do their jobs and not sugar coat what needs to be done, and what they are not doing

Review from Sales Dept

Leadership bieng mor visable and involved

To reiterate: stop trying to force schedules on people who have made it abundantly clear they can not nor will work hours that would remove secondary incomes and family responsibilities. The job shouldn’t be about sacrificing your life but some pe

Review from Admin Dept

Better pay and more leadership engagement

Review from Operations Dept

Structure and accountability of others

Review from Sales Dept

Better benefits for maternity/paternity leave.

Review from Sales Dept

outside of my region, GMs seem to be islands. There is limited communication/interaction between hotels and the RVPs are not helping foster any sort of camaraderie between them.

To assist better with employee problems within HR. Not to feel you can't go to your upper management and have a discussion without feeling at fault

Review from Operations Dept

Stop overselling, bringing Opera (PMS system), increase hourly rate to bring more good people in.

Ging more stuff to do

Better pay & better management oversight.

Hire more vets & better leaders

Actually better leadership leadership starts at the top Works its way down when you have employees who are teaching their bosses how to do things then you don't have a very good leadership
