How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at Amazon?

Not that difficult, actually. The usual schedule is four days per week, in ten hour shifts. You can easily take mini-vacations if you have the funds to afford it. If you're a tier1 or tier3 not living with your parents, then that's not likely happening.

I don't have any problems with it. Keeping a social life after having a kid, now that's a challenge :).

Very difficult. You need to put your social life on hold - its a price you pay to be here.
