What is the office culture like? Friendly? Political? Has it changed post acquisition?
Very Political. No it has not changed after the acquisition

Everyone is super friendly and supportive. I was hired post acquisition.
What's the work from home policy like at AppDynamics?
I rarely see people in the office. A lot of people are working from home.

Of course it varies by role. In general the company values results and outcomes over being in the office.
How many women are in your team? is it diverse enough?

Nope. The only woman in my product team. coworkers are nice though
Cero Woman. It’s the least diverse company I’ve ever worked for. Only men get promoted. It’s a Bro culture. Woman are measured differently

How's the work life balance at Appdynamics?

It's pretty solid. One main focus of our executive team is having a good work culture, and that includes work/life balance. We have a good PTO and volunteer-time-off, so they pride on making sure we're enjoying the rewards of life after working hard!

How helpful was your Customer Support team when you were first hired at AppDynamics?
It was good at first and then the management changed and everything went downhill from there.

They listen to you but after that they do nothing about it

How are layoffs handled in the Customer Support department at AppDynamics?
Very abrupt and brutal. The company does not help you in any way.

We never have had any
What does the ideal candidate in the Product department look like at Appdynamics?
Don't expect guidance. There's no onboarding. Managers expect you to perform immediately. If you know the industry completely in and out, you'll be fine. Otherwise, you're in for trouble.
What's the vibe like in the Customer Support dept at Appdynamics? How many hours are you working?
This is one area I really appreciated about AppDynamics. They are not micromanaging you as you do your work, you just do it. That being said, there is no shortage of work for the support team and they work long days at times. Knew of guys that were taking calls in the middle of the night that would last until the morning. That is not everyone, of course, but they are very hard working men and women.
What's the Customer Support team like at Appdynamics?
The team consists of individuals with 10-15 years of developer experience which makes for some of the smartest support folks I have ever encountered.
How's the leadership on the Customer Support team at Appdynamics?
Although I have been gone for about 15 months, the leadership on the Support team is very good for the most part. There are some folks in there that are not as strong, but overall the team is extremely bright and have solid management skills.
How's the vacation policy at Appdynamics?
4 weeks, Plus 1 week vto, plus your birthday off. Required PTO during Christmas shut down. Most positions are flexible about working from home on an ad hoc basis.
What is the best part about your compensation package at Appdynamics?
Well now that we're acquired by Cisco, I have better benefits plus bonus plan!
What do you like best about the leadership team at Appdynamics?
They're very transparent.
