They need to get better with communications within the team

Being personable, dive into your people. Eliminate the bias.
Compensating other employees for their time and effort

Communication, more hands on, not be so laid back, pay attention to what is going on around them
There is no communication. Even when they try, they fail

I do think interns should receive some sort of benefits to a point.

Raises are not based on individual efforts, and are usually flat across the department. There is no advantage to owning stock as there is no ESO for the majority of salaried employees. Meaning that they have no interest in owning stock because they must invest in it at market value.
I feel as though compensation at ArcBest is a sore point in management. Management needs to seriously consider how important the worker is to the success of ArcBest and reevaluate how to better compensate their employees.
They claim we're "competitive", but we are well below average for compensation in the tech industry.
The pay and pay scales are not competitive. ArcBest uses the word “analyst” as a job title whether the role requires analysis or not. This causes true analytical roles to be underp

Need to get rid of the tension between the union and management.
Coworker needs to not throw others under the bus and take responsibility for their actions.

I like my coworkers but we all know we can do our work from home and there is no reason why we should have to come to the office. We can work 6 days at home where other departments do not have to come to work or have to work one day a week. I have yet to talk to anyone that likes coming to the o
Not being as siloed. The company is working on this I think, but there's still a lot of "completing the task in front of me" without thinking if there's a better way to do something to help a customer or achieve a goal.

We're still working through the remote/onsite thing - I think ultimately everyone will have to come back to the office. I love remote work, but long-term, I don't think it's right for ArcBest.
Fire for character. No one is irreplaceable. If an individual, particularly anyone in a management role, demonstrates poor character or disregard for the core values, they should be removed from the organization. It is the #1 threat to our culture that I see.
Feedback and suggestions are not well received.

Honor the values, reward hard work not poor work with promotions to get them out of current positions.
The HireRight (I believe is what it's called.) Is very difficult to interview with. You are not actually speaking to someone and having conversation with you are staring at yourself in a screen trying to focus and keep your thoughts straight.

being more open to hirring others regardless of where they used to work for example " other carrier companies "
The time you hear back. I was told when I interviewed I would hear back by the end of the week. I heard back a month later. I've heard familiar instances with other people interviewing.

More frequent communication and quick decisions
The interview process takes so long. Most of it just waiting for action on the companies end.
Review from IT Dept
Poor communication and we fall through on promises that we make.
Customers think we charge too much, and give it 10 years corporate models wont work.

Employees without drive are being promoted and its going to lead to the culture failing long term. This is a widespread thought currently. People doing poor in job are moved up while people doing good cant leave because of their value where they are. That isnt fair to those putting in the effort.
I would like to see the compensation raised in my department.
