any politics that go on in the office?
The office is *mostly* politics. I'd say on the lower/worker level it's not too bad, depending on team. Middle management is where it's the worst, though.
Yes, tons. It's probably normal for any big company, but it can be grueling with the constantly shifting priorities.

Fire the controller. Breach of a lot of processes. Lack ethics

You have to be under the wings of person of authority (executive) otherwise you can spend your entire life being a top performer with no gains
How's the vacation policy at Audible, Inc.?
At par with other companies. 15 vacation days, 3 floater days and 2 personal days + 5 sick days. After 5 years of service, you get 20 vacation days that become 25 after 10 years of service.

It's okay. About 15 PTO days, but it's not granted at the top of the year, it accrues.
