What do you like best about the leadership team?
There's not a lot to like, tbh. They're inaccessible except for when it's convenient for them. On the whole they lack conviction. When you watch them speak at events, there is a lack of enthusiasm and charisma.
Everyone is understanding, competent and does their job extremely well.
Work across functions to design the best customer products.

What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Communication. Understanding how the work gets done. Having a compelling vision for the future. Public speaking. Effective management practices.
The leadership team needs to actually lead. They need to pay more attention to data. They need to make decisions based on the needs of our customers.
Audible would benefit from actually performing and aligning with the companies values of activate caring and diversity and inclusion.
The leadership needs to work on one long term project at a time instead of asking teams to work on multiple things without thinking about the need to implement and measure success metrics.
Honesty, vision and clear business direction. The company also hides leadership mis-handling of budgets and funding. I suspect the construction of the church is full of mishandled expenses related to Don Katz
What is the best part about your compensation package?
Decent healthcare and dental coverage.
My benefits are excellent. I pay very little out of pocket. I just think the starting rate of a customer care agent should be more. I have over 10+ years experience in customer service and to find out a high school intern is being paid only $2 less than an experienced worked is a bit offensive.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I would feel better if they continued to make sure that tenured employees are paid as well as new employees. Only addressing this once in a blue moon for PR value is not enough.
The lack of job security overpowers any benefits or fair pay.
Contractors are paid peanuts and just for 8 hours but are given work that lasts atleast 13 hours per day.
Does not fit industry standard partially due to junior level recruiter incompetence.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Inclusiveness, open discussions, warmth in the office

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
The internal process make everyone very slow in responding. If people were not wasting their time in so many internal meetings there would be more time to actually move things forward.

People enjoy what they are doing.
Product is great, so love workibg in the product
They are constantly implementing change and ways to make us workers happier. They truly care about their workers, how they feel and what they have to say. They take care of us here.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Senior managers and directors are not hands on and have mostly not worked with technology. If you hire more experienced leaders, they'll really understand the complexity involved in software development.
What did you like most about the interview process?
Could be better. Not very happy.
I actually liked that there were many steps to the interview process. It made me feel like they really do not just hire anybody but ensure they only hire qualified candidates.

What would you improve about your company's interview process?
lack of transparency and poor communication from HR. From a cumbersome process to book interviews to poor communication when announcing results.
What makes you most happy at work?
There's free food and it's mostly decent.
