  • I know we have one, but know nothing about it.

  • Getting promoted depends entirely on your role. There are some role leveling promotions. They get you better title (ie Sales Exec vs Sr Sales Exec) but not necessarily more pay or compensation. Promotion to leadership role from individual contributor rarely happens. This is partly due to low turnover in management (though some would argue we could make some changes), but also there is a lack of leadership and development training overall. If your goal is to make more money, most leave Avalara and then come back to significant pay increase. For those seeking to move up the ladder it take time, or willingness to move to a different department.

  • If you get paid right, and you think the opportunity they are presenting is viable (are you replacing someone, is it a new role?), they have some solid growth ahead of them!

  • Ouf......if you are asking, you should already be concerned. I would not expect a parade or any "golden parachutes" - it will be rough/ruthless if it happens, as they are a publicly-traded company.
