Axon – I almost considered skipping the 2nd interview when I read about the "bro culture" on GlassDoor. I'm glad I stuck with it though, because it feels much more like inclusive camaraderie than any kind of "bro culture" (though, I'm speaking as a white male, so, perspective). | Comparably

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Base pay is decently high. I value base pay more because it’s predictable, it’s what I can budget around, etc. Bonuses come

What are some of the best things about your team?

They are incredibly smart and incredibly efficient. They would get done in a week what the [same size] team at my previous company would take a month to accomplish.

What makes you most happy at work?

The opportunity (specifically, having the time set aside) to learn new skills and apply those skills. It's one thing to attempt to "upskill" on evenings and weekends, but so much better when there's designated, manager-approved time to learn what we need.

What do you like best about the leadership team?

Given all that I have seem them talk about, and they way they talk about it, it seems as though their North Star really is to "Protect Life", and to have "everybody get home safely". They know that both police and citizens alike can be fallible, and strive to show the truth on both sides.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

It has been extremely heartening to hear our previous manager care about his direct reports, wanting to ensure that they don't burn out, making sure we take the time to care for ourselves, and most of all have trust in us that we are putting our best foot forward for the company. Trust is important!
