Everything about employees ans engagement
Inclusion and encouragement of all teammates to participate and let their opinion known
Respectful ,& accommodating for slower workers
The positive is that I get to work with different nationalities
generally my team all wants the best for Boeing and our their teammates and come to work everyday to wanting Boeing to succeed.
fringe benefits are pretty good
The people and customers here.
Teams are empowered and feel safe to speak their opinions
YES I am going to be a little more than a year or two of these things
Empowerment and ease of doing business
People genuinely want to do good and see the company succeed
Understanding the needs of the people and the needs of the company to create that balance where all parties accomplish their established goals.
The relaxed atmosphere between all levels of workers. No one is treated as 'less' no matter what their title is.
Treated as an adult in all areas
Good co-worker and it helps my day fun fast.
Slow but steady work environment. No rush
I have some excellent co-workers, and together with them we have built a solid culture of transparency.
My good co-workers are simply amazing, and I would go to the wall for them. (Alas, it will probably come to that with this next round of lay-offs....)
Review from Finance Dept
The culture at Boeing is moving in the correct direction after the 737 tragedy. Employees are empowered to use the tool Seek, Speak, and listen which empowers employees to speak up when something is not correct. Quality and Ethics are front and center in everything we do. I love this.
Flexible hours, free lunch, management listens to the needs of employees
Executives need to model expected behavior, managers need to have to ability to call out issues.
A realization that a safe product is a quality product.
Benchmark products/services to industry competitors. Kill products that are not, and never will be World class and divert energy from winning offerings
Make sure that under performers are not tolerated.
give control of the company back to the engineers
It's toxic. A sea change is needed and it's sad that the MAX situation didn't change anything
Truly practice transparency at the execuitve level.
Review from HR Dept
Negative productivity employees need to be let go. The company needs to integrate vertically after years of going down the outsourcing route.
A different CEO that is not clearly a hedge fund manager but someone who cares about the people of the company and wants to griw the business and not just watch the stock grow. Grow slow and steady without debt should be our mantra, not seek speak and listen.
Management needs to listen to what the employees are asking for that would help them perform their job better. Additionally, management needs to trust their employees to know what's best, rather than constantly pressuring employees to cut corners.
New leadership that is visible and accessible. An entire refresh of the Executive Council and Board
Promote technical ability as opposed to retaining/ promoting poor performers or attempting to meet quotas for diversity, etc...
Leadership walk the talk, be present and show interest in your teams, boost morale. Not just show your face once in awhile - its a skill to manage, lead and motivate people so they want to return and produce quality. Absentee management and leadership piling work not related to managers is a problem
Leadership needs to give more control to lower level managers including salary decision etc. Just give us the top level goals and objectives. Let us do our jobs.
Review from Engineering Dept
We need to put engineering first again.
The company suffers from bureaucracy in the management teams and a "this is how we've always done it" attitude. It also does not replace outgoing talent that is aging out of the workforce.
better base salaries (currently 50% below market rate), growth based on merit not age, and modern building and tools. Our places for work are depressing and antiquated.
US-centric policies and strategies need to become more dynamic globally or regionally. Leaders need to listen and be accountable for results. There is no training and no personal development; if you want to progress you need to arrange this yourself
Modern work spaces, protect people to talk.
Stop cutting corners and rushing just to make production numbers and bonuses (management), which is why Boeing is dealing with the fallout from these type of things.
