Day-to-day achievements. Meeting deadlines. Knowing expectations and personally taking responsibility for fulfilling each task.

My associates, and speaking to like-minded people

getting positive feedback from customers and coworkers

The people I work with

Getting to converse with friendly customers and help them find the books they are looking for

Interaction with customers! You meet so many amazing people and always have stories to tell and share

Review from Sales Dept

Helping customers locate books within the store, or order on-line. Talking with customers about authors of books, or about a book that we both found interesting, helpful, or amusing. Helping in the Children's section. I would love to have a children's read-a-loud session in the Store.

Review from Customer Support Dept

Being able to help a customer find what they want.

The people that I get to interact with on a daily basis

My coworkers and customers are always fun to be around.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

the entire management team at my store needs to be changed. they are negative towards guests and towards us employees

Review from Sales Dept

Management is low. Wrongful accusations that dont fit the work environment

company has to start caring about employees not just how much money they make

See the before mentioned comments about building relationships with our customers and employees. Don't be like gamestop.

Review from Sales Dept

Better management, a new Gm

Review from Sales Dept

Pay workers as if you value the as much as you say you do. Reward them, not their upper management, for their own hard work and improvement. Let the level harshness and strictness match the pay. We shouldn't have so much responsibility at 8.25/hr. Improve company training standards.

Review from Customer Support Dept

The manager acts like a child

Review from Sales Dept

It's an uncomfortable environment. They need to fire or force my manager to retire/quit.
