It's been challenging but in all the ways you should expect to be challenged at a fast-paced, growing, early-stage tech org. There is nothing unique about the challenges we face here. It's what I expected, although if anything the opportunity was undersold.
What are some of the best things about your team?
The complete absence of ego and politics.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The recent goodwill gesture to guarantee bonus. Outside of that, the salaries are market average or maybe slightly above.
What makes you most happy at work?
The fact I have a degree of influence over whether and to what extent we will be successful. I feel relevant.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
Approachability and transparency. The fact that our leadership team is also our founding team means the company has retained a specific culture and value-set even as we've grown.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We don't hire idiots or mean people. This means the culture survives periods of exponential growth. So in a sense, the most positive thing about the culture is that it remains constant and hasn't been diluted over time.
