Hire actual HR not media spinners. They won't because they don't value employees. They tell stockholders employees are the company's most important resource then treat employees like the trash. Replaceable and disposable.
Better discounts for employees. Make overtime more available. Allow more hours for the stores that need the most work.

Money first, customers second , employees last. They want great survey numbers, but the customers see the way the staff is treated and give them low scores. There is no moral , none whatsoever. The management treats you horrible, I would not tell anyone to come work here.
Low enthusiasm, low initiative. Just a lack of store pride.

Easy!! After I filled out the app online I was called in for an interview with that stores general manager. I met with her in her office for about 20-25 minutes. I told her about myself, my past jobs and work experience. Then I answered any questions she had and that was it.

How flexible is your work schedule at Burlington Coat Factory?

Depends on if manager likes you. Students who have given schedules for classes to managers find out they are still scheduled to work during class hours. Time management is nonexistent.

Drug test. No. Background check & psychological testing (will you make right decisions - red/yellow/green light test) Most get hired anyway. Only requirement is breathing.
How does Burlington Coat Factory handle HR issues?
We don't even have HR posted, a phone number for them, workers have never been introduced to them or know we have one.
Lifts rug. Sweeps issues under rug. Puts rug back down. Parties on above rug.
Not sure, there are far too many other issues and they are all going on at once. Nothing is handled. I do have to say the store manger does try but without support from his other managers it is to no avail.
How hard is to work there
Its extremely fast paced, alot of coworkers feel burnt out.. lots of call offs

A joke. They hire everyone and anyone. If not for the time the "background checks" take to return they'd put you to work immediately without training. For some training came weeks & months after starting. They just edit dates.

Regional HR and ASM with group of 10 potential hires. Store Manager popped in. They were supposed to call & when they didn't,I called store Saturday. SM said I was scheduled for Monday. They did't call because they are very unorganized. Follow up yourself.
The supervisor of the Department and it took 5 months to hear back
Head manager and I got called the same day

Surprises daily. Day 1: Move this here. Day 2: Now here. Day 3: Move it over there. Day 4: And now here. Day 5: It's all going back the way it was last week. Perk. Older male Supervisors will inappropriately touch female employees if they are cute enough. Introducing them to "Mad Men" culture.
15% discount on everything except food/drinks for employees and 2 friends/family members. Sometimes have special promotions for employees that give them an extra 15% discount on top of employee discount.
Non ,if you are part time in which the majority of the workers are.

Tired of doing the same thing everyday.
I started another job , and they cut my hours. I am trying to work 2 jobs. I am still available the same days as I was before. I feel like they are trying to replace me. I am a older worker. Feeling scared and unappreciated, I've been there for over a year. Another job is not available for me with my lack of skills.

It's turning into a Goodwill type store setup. They loose a lot of money because they have very poor security, about half of their profits walk out door with people stealing. Their future I feel is bleak , no management that cares . They only care about bonuses , that's it. Not people or customers.
In a few years it won't exist, customers run the store.
I see amazing things in the future.

If they need you somewhere they will pay you more & they have given relocation costs to some regional level employees.
As far as I know they only pay for the truck and the mileage
