Executive Bio

Mr. Frank E. Nothaft has been Chief Economist and Senior Vice President at CoreLogic, Inc., since January 2015. Mr. Nothaft leads CoreLogic's economics team as well as its research and insights strategy using CoreLogic's gold standard data and analytics resources including the CoreLogic-Case-Shiller Home Price Index and other indices and services. He expands the economic policy unit and enhance CoreLogic's research capabilities and tools which are widely referenced by clients, industry leaders, the public sector and the news media. He is a prominent housing and mortgage market expert for more than 25 years. He served as Chief Economist of Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation since December 2001. He frequently appears on radio and television programs and is regularly quoted in The Wall Street Journal, New York Times and leading industry trade publications such as National Mortgage News and HousingWire. He earned his degree in mathematics and computer science from New York University and he holds a Ph.D. in economics from Columbia University.
