I joined CA while enrolled in a programmer bootcamp with the intent of buying some time until I was ready to hunt for my "real" job. It was quickly apparent that CA was a place I wanted to stay. I was able to stay at CA, transition careers, and I have never been more professionally fulfilled!

Certain portions are great like work from home and meaningful work that helps students and teachers. Other portions less so, like unstructured meetings, people not understanding their roles, and a few poor managers that are micro-managers. Lack of focus on outputs and instead focus on inputs.

The benefits are amazing. Way better than any I've ever had anywhere else. There are also constant audits on pay to make sure everyone is paid fairly.

It's a small thing, but a family member needed therapy and we were having a lot of trouble finding a good therapist who wasn't booked out for months. The new Modern Health benefit got a quality therapist quickly, and has been a wonderful help.

I feel as though I'm being underpaid based on my market research

Higher salary. Being paid for the benefits not taken (IE, I save CA thousands by not using their health insurance - other companies would split that with me). Geography factors into salary goes again basic "equal work for equal pay" from civil rights movement. Even worse for non-US employees.

A big variety in the kind of work I get to do. My biggest work goal is to never be bored, and we get to work on so many different things it's to imagine that happening. When I've felt I've had my fill of a team's effort after a couple of years, I was able to change teams which was very refreshing!
