I'm from abusive marriages who wouldn't let me work so when I got my freedom I vowed I would always work and make my own money. So work is not just a necessity for me it's therapy.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Most male cooks don't pull their weight and don't really know what they are doing and don't care. They hide most times smoking cigarettes. The men cooks make almost $7.00 on the hour more than the women cooks. I have 35 years of experience and have trained a lot of managers, yet they won't pay women
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?
When I asked the owner or manager on duty when will I make what the men make they told me, "When you can do what the men can." I threw my pack of cigarettes on his desk and said; "I can do what they do." I was in the top ten cooks of Orlando and for many years so I deserve to make what the men make
