Recent Reviews About Dolby Laboratories

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

My peers and even immediate supervisors are darn good. Higher up the management change its all political blah blah blah and moving boxes on the org chart and calling it "change".

The company culture values volunteering and giving back to the community. The general environment is calm and the people are overall interesting having many talents and interests.

Supportive - you feel supported if you want to work cross functionally, if you have new ideas to share, if you want to try something different

What are some of the best things about your team?

Smart people passionate about doing good work. I'm always sad when they throw my co-workers into the street each quarter.

Willing to debate and it doesn't feel like there are winners and losers when you exchange ideas!

Overall, based on the biz model, there is gradual forward progress despite an undertow of opinion that meetings are largely dysfunctional. And they often are due to VP's forming contrary opinions at the 11th hour in order to appear politically cunning by spinning the narrative to under-informed SVP
