Executive Bio

Mr. Christopher J. Appleton has been the Chief Financial Officer of Embraer Aircraft Holding, Inc. since 2001 and serves as its Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Appleton began his career with Embraer in 1996 as Finance Manager, directing tax planning and preparation, as well as financial planning, budgeting, accounting, financial reporting and U.S. GAAP oversight. Since 2003, he has been responsible for the oversight of finance and accounting, human resources, information technology and infrastructure development for Embraer's U.S. operations. His other responsibilities include economic development which involves identifying and analyzing potential opportunities for expansion of Embraer's operations in the U.S. and financing Embraer's expansion in the U.S. through various debt structures. Mr. Appleton began his professional career with Ernst and Young, LLP in 1992 as a Financial Auditor specializing in real estate and retirement benefits. He later joined Time Warner as an Internal Auditor specializing in the cable television industry. He is a graduate of the Florida International University with a Bachelor of Accounting degree.
