  • It feels like engineering is in a second place to sales and that at any time your team is at risk of being made redundant by a new acquisition regardless of what management says. How secure? Not.

Yes, we all have a job to get done, but the best managers are those who you are comfortable in speaking with about roadblocks without fear of a negative response. It is invaluable to have this quality in a leader as it makes us all work together, help each other to meet common goals. His approach is the biggest motivator!
