Great coworkers and managers make the work enjoyable.
In-store teams have always been great in my opinion. Anyone who creates a negative work environment is dealt with immediately and effectively. Store managers do a great job here.
Store managers tend to be very considerate and care about their employees. The overall vibe from corporate management, however, is that they don't care about store employees outside of their ability to make sales.
Many goals are pressed upon the employees, but there are no rewards for going above and beyond to complete those goals. There is no commission aspect, even for selling subscriptions to Game Informer and the rewards program. The reward is you can keep your job. Nothing else.
