GEICO Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Pay is fair for the job. Health benefits keep getting higher deductibles and less coverage.

Stripped away the good benefits

That somehow I survive each weekbto get a paycheck

Competitive pay but you will do the work of multiple people.

Associate Assistance Program and focus on mental health benefits.

Review from Customer Support Dept

The pay was great and you get raises every four months however, the benefits were very expensive and they just began matching the 401(k)

Review from Customer Support Dept

The salary is fine. It does make it harder to leave since other carriers are not meeting it.

Health insurance and retirement benefits

Profit sharing and 401k. Pretty good insurance as well

Annual Profit sharing is pretty good.

Very good, all my insurance neds are met...some op cost are high

The benefits are decent for what you are paying for

Review from HR Dept

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

provide prevailaing wage compared to other companies in the industry. Bring back profit sharing and provide generous bonus structure.

Bring back the old pay structure and training oppurtunites

Stocks or non money increase in compensation.

Lack of empathy in this work environment.

Return to profit sharing, restore benefits and set clear goals that don't change every couple of months.

The benefits. Healthcare is not something to cut back on for the people doing the work.

Give bonus to employees if company is running in profits.

Company did away with profit sharing

They're layng off good workers and making adjusters fight each other over productivity numbers.

I have the workload of 3 people. I am expected to meet time requirements and productivity goals on all my claims even though there are too many to possibly get through in 7.75 hours a day. If i take time off, whether it be vacation or sick leave, im still required to meet these goals or ill get fired

Pay me what im worth. Give me my profit sharing back

This is not about my compensation...but rather the CEO. Don't give millions in bonus to someone who is ripping this company apart. His focus is not on the customers and surely not on the employees.

Profit sharing was taken away, benefits were cut and changed to worse coverage. Merits are only for cheaters and the promise bonuses is just gaslighting and lies.

Review from Operations Dept

Make the numbers that you have to reach actually reachable instead of making it impossible then having a firing party.

They promise things and then take them away. Days off, profit sharing, work from home, etc. This takes money out of the employees pocket.

They cut benefits that we have has for many years. Just gone. They changed medical insurance. Now it is hard to find a provider

I'm told and rated as a top performer, but that doesn't seem to move the needle on compensation or advancement opportunity.

I don't get paid enough for all the stress and hard work we put in and all the different states and policies that we get licensed and trained for . We don't get any profit sharing till 3 yrs if you were hired after January.

Review from Customer Support Dept

20-30% higher salary (to compete at a minimum with every other major carrier)

Our benefits are rapidly reducing under the guise of it being "better" for the employee. In reality we have lost a ton of paid time off and ability to accrue more based on tenure. Every decision made is to benefit the companies bottom line instead of considering all factors.
