In my store specifically we all work well as a team and help each other out when needed.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The safety culture in the company is the most positive. Giant eagle strives to be one of the safest places to work.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Giant Eagle has taken away any good benefit it has had in the past. Pension, good health benefits, short term disability, raises based on performance, good bonuses, education reimbursement.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Giant Eagle does not recognize the struggle at store level. More and more is expected with understaffed stores and underpaid team members yet the expectation is higher than ever.
