  • I'm sure every department is different, but as an engineer, it's great for work-life-balance. I work from home pretty much 100%, and I can help with my kids and my family every day. It's one of the main reasons I feel comfortable sticking around.

  • Culturally I wouldn't change much. Everyone who works for GLG is bright and seems to enjoy their work. They are willing to teach but are also willing to learn.

  • The CEO used to be a bit of recluse. However he's changed quite a bit and engages with employees out in the open. You could say as the company has grown, so too has he. They've created an environment for teaching and learning. They could improve the way in which raises are administered. It's very difficult to get a raise at GLG.

  • Amazing. Engineers work from home. Office politics is a non issue here so you start when you want, and end when you want. As long as you can demonstrate value through making or saving the company money, you'll always have a job.

  • Market value. If your position is valued higher in the market then you'll get paid more. Outside of that you'll need to demonstrate uncommon knowledge to be put up for a true promotion.

  • It's flexible. Take what you need when you need it. There isn't a lot of pressure on logging your time. If you do good work it'll never be an issue so long as you're not taking months off.
