What should I wear for an interview at GoDaddy?
Business or business casual
I've seen people wear Tshirts and shorts. I'd wear at a minimum a polo shirt and casual slacks.
How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at GoDaddy?
Very very easy. Work life balance is amazing at GoDaddy. I never feel like I can't take a day off to go skiing or just have a mental health rest.
Unless you have seniority or luck out with a good schedule, most people get terrible schedules which take up most of the day.
How's the vacation policy at GoDaddy?
good
Vacation policy is very nice at GoDaddy. This does vary by department however. If you are a full-time hourly employee, you get 3 weeks of vacation per year. As your tenure increases, this time inscreases. If you are a salaried employee, you are on FLEX time, which is essentially unlimited time off, permitting manager approval. We observe many company holidays that are paid off for some departments.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation at GoDaddy?
30% pay cut this year and all support is being outsourced
I am only as important as my last sale. Everytime we do what they ask they raise quotas to get less commission
What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better at GoDaddy?
Communication and technical know-how. I think we work well together but sure they're could be improvement
After all these years, my org still operates as separate silos. Also, half the engineers on my team are garbage
