What makes you most happy at work?Being able to make a change in peoples lives and give back to the community. I also enjoy being challenged and interacting with customers. Everyday is different and brings on new opportunities.
What do you like best about the leadership team?The leadership team empowers me to make decisions and take appropriate calculated risks. This is so refreshing, especially in a non-profit.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?I don't feel unvalued i just wish we could get paid more for the job that we do.

Goodwill Central Texas was founded in 1958 and its current CEO is Rob Neville. Since its inception 68 years ago, Goodwill Central Texas has grown to 1800 employees.

The vast majority of donations to Goodwill are sold or recycled. In 2021, local Goodwills diverted approximately 3.8 billion pounds of usable goods from landfills. That includes clothes, shoes, furniture, and electronics, among other things. More than 15 million pounds of electronics were collected across more than 2,000 Goodwill locations and recycled into new computer parts. That is a huge, positive impact on our community and our world.
Goodwill Central Texas achieved 89% of our zero waste goal in 2019. Diverting 99.4 million pounds from landfills.
In 2021, Goodwill Central Texas:
- Helped 2,085 people find employment into 2,450 jobs with an average wage of $16.19.

- 142 served veterans through our Veteran Support Program, funded by the Texas Veterans Commission.
