How do you feel about Goodyear's future?
Not good - there is significant mismanagement at the corporate and manufacturing leadership levels. Compared to its competitors; operating costs are are high and ROI are amongst the lowest. Safety continues to be a systemic issue driven by an archaic command and control leadership style and a production first mindset. Union and Management relations are strained with both entities entrenched and unyielding when it comes to supporting long term strategic initiatives to increase productivity while controlling costs. Quality failures in the field continue to plague Goodyear in its commercial (industry), consumer (passenger), and aviation products. Given this I have stopped purchasing Goodyear tires for my personal and business vehicles.
