Base pay seems competitive with market.
Review from Engineering Dept
The stipends have been a great monthly treat. Also hearing from health providers how impressed they are with the insurance plans
Fair base salary, good healthcare benefits

Review from HR Dept
The amazing home office stipend and wellness budget!
Our immediate 6% matching 401k
Review from Engineering Dept
The medical benefits are amazing and extremely trans inclusive
Review from Finance Dept
A good amount of vacation time
401K match, medical and dental, Level perk funds, option grants
Review from Operations Dept
The gender affirming care should be standard practice, I'm proud that Grindr is leading the way.
Review from Product Dept
My compensation package includes a monthly stipend for Food and anything that could contribute to my wellbeing. I think that's really impactful in the sense that it allows the company to meet each employee where they are regardless of socioeconomic status.
Review from Engineering Dept
Benefits beyond insurance and pay. Stipends to help with expenses beyond normal compensation.
Review from Engineering Dept
I feel like our benefits package is one of the most comprehensive I've ever seen. I love our food/wellness budget, our queer-focused benefits, and so much more!
The health benefits and resources!!! One benefit we offer is Ginger.io. Through Ginger, I was able to painlessly find a therapist who I've been seeing for months now. The copay is only $20 for a single visit
Review from HR Dept
Although I personally don't need to take advantage of some of these benefits, but I think it's fantastic Grindr does so much for the transgendered community such as assistance with gender re-assignment procedures.
We have great perks: I really like the monthly $120 food and snack fund provided on a company card
Review from HR Dept
Queer-inclusive benefits are industry leading and allow queer employees to live as they're truly meant to
Review from HR Dept
The compensation is very fair market. The total package is designed to put as much money back into employee pockets as possible.
Review from HR Dept
There is a highlight for LGBTQIA+ benefits for employees. I love that Grindr has developed an inclusive benefits package for all employees and they continue to take feedback from their employees, and actually implement them.
Review from HR Dept
Queer-inclusive and queer-first benefits; best in the industry
Review from HR Dept
my years of experience is greater than that required of the job. i asked for more in hiring process. with that said, i'm happy to be employed in this unstable economy and i really like my job. my team knows they got a good deal with me :) i appreciate them telling me that. it got my foot in the door
Review from Marketing Dept
little opportunity over the years to really grow or be promoted - this is due various managements stepping in & having to rebuild my own relationships every time. with the last performance review and a high score, i stayed at the same rate/same title/same thing
Review from Sales Dept
It's difficult to quantify my compensation solely in equity since we're not a public company, but based on market research and benchmarks, I'm slightly paid under market rate in terms of salary. But it may be because big tech skews salary compensation data and has more financial resources
Review from Operations Dept
The salary band I was given is definitely on the lower end of someone with my experience.
I feel my compensation is a bit below market for my industry. One of the reasons I love Grindr is the wonderful culture however, it would be great if the salary ranges were adjusted to keep up with the market and current inflation we are experiencing across the country.
Was planned to discuss for a raise/perf review last year, and then Grindr sold ( but I like the changes, I love here more than ever ). I told my manager about the review recently, and I'm trying to make it.
I think Grindr pays less than other comparable companies. I took a pay cut to come here, and sort of regret it now that I've learned from others what they make. I would feel better about my compensation if it were higher! Or if I got more stock options.
out benefit package was better before this team took over. we had a 10 % 401K match now it 6 % we had bonuses now we will get RSUs but most of us would prefer a combination of the 2 . we work long hours and it seems that its not taken into consideration.
Review from Engineering Dept
Last pay raise ended up being a lateral replacement of annual bonus compensation. Stung a little. Subsequent "true" raise of same amount would feel fair.
Review from Engineering Dept
Compared to the market, I am underpaid and I haven't received a raise in several years. It doesn't weigh heavily on me, but I would like to be more invested in the company's success (aka equity).
Willing to bet $10,000 I am the least compensated among my peers and would be shocked to learn my performance is less than Wasn't officially promoted for six months for no apparent reason which caused a lot of issues for me doing my job. Wasn't comped for it. Official promotion felt insulting.
Review from Product Dept
There has been emphasis on the progress done by newer employees, but it has been improving. Also, job descriptions should be reviewed closely as many of us are doing above and beyond what is asked for since we have seniority.
Review from Sales Dept
Perhaps it was the timing of the purchase, but I went 18 months without a raise. I feel there should be at least a cost of living increase annually.
I believe I am paid below market.
Review from HR Dept
I think more transparency around salaries in the org would help. Secrecy around salaries just breeds mistrust. I also have no way of knowing if the stock I've been issued is commensurate with what other people at my level have received, so it's hard to know if I'm being compensated fairly.
Review from Marketing Dept
Once there is an expectation and clear goal set for each employee's role in the company, people seem to take those who work more than their responsibilities for granted. The expectation will also create a clear path for workers during review, but we don't seem to have that system figured out yet.
Review from Marketing Dept
My valuation when I entered the company was on the lower side & it's been a constant semi-annual challenge to get it to a proper valuation - to where I'm getting back what I'm putting in. The company's limited promotion process creates an overly competitive & challenging atmosphere within teams.
