The best thing about my compensation package is the ability to impact my variable pay through strong performance.

Employee discounts are unbeatable, and managers have your back on everything

The best part of my compensation is bonus and equity.
Commission pay almost helps me pay my rent.
Review from Sales Dept
We are paid a little bit above the minimum wage, plus commission!

I do not have stock equity or benefits. My pay is $11.00 per hour and I have been working here for over a year.
Bonus structure is a joke.. up the base pay and staff the store properly instead of loading all of the work on 1-2 people
Low-ball pay. Overworked, understaffed. Have to beg for annual merit increases just to get over 50 cents. Huge disconnect between store manager and ops manager pay.
Better pay according to education and experience.
I should get paid more. Again, why are customers paying $60/hr and im only getting $20/hr. Wheres the rest of the money going?
I feel that using a blanket business strategy across 200+ retail locations in an industry as unique as the music/entertainment industry is a complete disservice to the client base at large. Music is very personal and a life for many and I feel that is lost the higher up the ladder you go.
Corporate dosent care about you or your future they have a goal that must be met you are just a tool to get them there if you don't work they'll just get a new one.
I feel if you're making over $1 million for a company you should be compensated at least a livable wage. For example over $50,000
I constantly go above and beyond every day for customers, and then i am scorned and scolded for not getting pro coverage (which is not in my control). Minimum wage would be a start.

I think I am underpaid for what I do.
Even with annual reviews and commission, Guitar Center is the worlds largest musical instrument and industry retailer and fails to compensate for experience in MI based on credentials like AES/AVIXA certifications.
A family of four qualifies for welfare on our hourly pay scales.
A fair living wage for the area i live in
I feel I should make more, but get paid decently
We are very underpaid and the benefits are terrible.
When a portion of my pay goes to help with my scheduling and my scheduling can't be done correct frustrates me.
No bonuses despite being number one sales person every month. Told to treat all metrics equally with no incentive to exceed in them (in ex., Pitching lessons). negative reinforcement instead of positive reinforcement for reaching pro coverage numbers. All metrics are never enough
Been sexually harassed multiple times by customers and one coworker with little done by upper level management, our Store Manager has had to have my back in order for anything to get done.
We are given tasks that are crucial to keeping the store alove yet we are paid as if we are doing no work. We are expected to get huge tasks done but not given the hours to do so.
The only reason they pay minimum wage here is because they have to. The amount of work an average sales person does per day is worth insanely more than 10 an hour. We do make commission BUT it’s impossible to rely on that during slow season
