HCA Healthcare Environment Employee Reviews

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

My office and hospital are run by an excellent team of executives who promote a sense of family, despite the fact that HCA corporate does not care one iota about their employees/physicians and are completely out of touch

You must have team work to survive. Each floor does that.

Fum coworkers and caring leadership

We are happy together at the end of our shift and we express thankfulness to each other.

There is support for each other, even when things aren't working quite right.

In my honest opinion, I think the patients are more positive than the employees. I've heard and seen some very awful situations and I see so many things that really brings me down at work. I go above and beyond for the patients and I know they are appreciative.

The overall culture at the company positive and exciting.

Geat doctors and anesthesia team

All treated like adults we care about our patients our community and each other!!

The environment is welcoming and respectful. You are always greeted with a smile from the first moment you walk in the building. They genuinely care about you as a person, and you are not a number.

Teamwork makes the dream work

Review from Admin Dept

Supportive coworkers surround me at all times

The actual healthcare workers are devoted to patient care. HCA capitalizes on this fact by removing resources until it is unsafe to do your job.

The environment is good so far.

The way that my team is accommodating and willing to help each other!

feels great to get off work and go home

The Management and most coworkers.

I work with supportive colleagues

Review from Operations Dept

What needs to change to make the company culture better?

The whole profit at any price has to change.

There needs to buy more help for managers to come in at night even if they are dayshift managers I've never seen a single one come in on the Night Shift to help when we are extremely short staffed, but dayshift will have 18 or 19 people on there night shift will have about six

Reward hard working dedicated employees and not those that are just the friends with management.

leadership change at the corporate to division level

Review from Executive Dept

We are treated like the misfit toys on misfit island.

Micro managing and budgeting is by far what makes the company culture a negative environment.

Everything needs change, upper management never interact with the staff, they think giving pizza solve every problems they have , department managers are a joke.

listening to the employees. More opportunity to work remotely

More staff and pay would help alot!

Written policy and procedure to follow and learn from.

HR and management need to work with employees to figure out dissatisfaction of employees and work to lower the nursing load, too heavy.

replace everyone at the top.... EVERYONE.

Review from Operations Dept

Total overhaul of management and corrupt corporate structure.

Local Leadership needs to lead by example...

Nobody is happy. It's just getting worse because management won't take our feedback. Morale is very low.

Staffing and ratios. More visiblity of top management.

The leadership needs to increase engagement tactics

Review from HR Dept

Compensation for veteran nurses and nurses in general to keep moral high and keep in network and on unit instead of having high turnover.

Make sure you have team members who look out for each others and help when needed
