There are no women other than myself on my team, but that is because we rarely have women apply in my area.

How are layoffs handled in the IT department at HCA IT&S?
I have never seen layoffs in my 13 years at HCA
At the corporate level they try to be as transparent and least disruptive as possible. They'll nix open positions and contractors first. If its more serious, they may offer early retirement to more tenured personnel. The last approach is wholesale cuts across the board, pretty rare. I've only seen that twice over a long period of time.
