I have little trust and a very bad taste in my mouth from this experience. For an international company they know very little about US culture and customs. Employees in India are treated better, have more flexibility and have more holidays. If you are outside of India this company doesn't care.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Leadership favors India and Indian nationals. If you are not from India HCL doesn't have much for you.
What would you improve about your company's interview process?
I wasn't interviewed by HCL I was interviewed by the client with which I work. I was hired because the client picked me.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
HCL uses United Health Care which will call you constantly during work hours. On top of that they won't allow you to cover college kids.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
First of all there needs to be better connection with the company. I can go for weeks, even months without seeing a coworker much less my manager. So I'm just a body in a chair.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
Relations are souring with our client. The contract was renewed but the client is reneging and there's no communication between the client and HCL leaving the rank and file employee stuck in the middle with a aggrevated customer.
