Almost everyone is over-extended, especially with recent layoffs. Focusing on the business at hand rather than on kingdom-building or CYA would be a great start.
It felt like they were genuinely interested in how I could contribute to the success of the department - not looking for a "yes" man or robot.
Working as a collective for the benefit of the company as a whole. Too many people/departments only looking out for themselves. More focus on the business rather than what makes HMI look good to the outside world.
