They are highly knowledgable in their areas.
They are young so it seems like they just want to get paid and not do the work. Most of them are nice, but they really don't care about anything but the pay.
Why are simple things made so difficult? No one seems to listen to or want to hear great ideas anymore.

Leadership across the company is overwhelmingly prone to favoritism, and sadly turns a blind eye to many truly good employees. Examine what is causing this across the board.
You need to do things to improve the workplace culture. The negativity is depressing. It is a dank old place to work with no hope

Pay scale is below average. The company openly acknowledges this "we're not the best payer" like it is an acceptable joke to make. While squawking about it being the biggest years ever, the employees get nothing for it. Sad little single digit increases. No bonuses. Just measley profitsharing
The only way to get a sizable pay increase is to leave. Do better.
There is not any form of compensation management. No bonuses...just the elusive MIP that everyone gets with its unknown calculation on the rare occasion it actually happens. Why no true performance based raises or bonuses? Reward your people!
No bonus program or performance based anything. Work yourself to oblivion and only get a half percent more raise than people who do the bare minimum to get by.
There is no compensation plan whatsoever
Mostly nice kids, but I said it before they do not care like we did when we were young, they just want the money and run.
Hire better people. Learn to interview. So much time is wasted on cultural brainwashing for people who are just there for a paycheck, instead of hiring quality people who work with good intentions and care.

The unfriendliness and lack of courtesy among coworkers is kind of weird, given it is a hospitality company. People don't even socialize with each other. They just scatter at the end of the day and don't even hold the door for each other because that would be nice.
The workforce is cliquey. People are so mean to others, it is shocking. Co-worker peer support or praise does not exist. Learn to be kind. Shining a light on someone else does not dim your light.
People are mean. No genuine appreciation for each other due to internal competition. It is strange and disheartening. Ego driven coworkers make team efforts nightmarish and the unofficial company culture encourages this behavior.
The company had a good story and foundation as its start. That history is nice.
There are some amazingly nice and wonderful people
It is a fun environment to be around and I think that is the only thing that really makes it fun.
Stop using company values as verbal scoldings unless everyone has to abide by the same values. Rules for thee but not for meee is not a good way to run things

Significant changes need to be made to establish a mentally healthy workplace. Take a long look at how tragically understaffed teams are. You have pushed people beyond reason. The HR function needs vast improvement and needs to step up and lead change.
Take a hard look at how the company values youth and new hires more than long term high performing employees.
A concerted effort to improve the way employees respect and value each other. But that won't happen until the executives value and respect the people who have worked so hard.
Encourage employees to genuinely see and appreciate the value in each other. So many people here are too quick to judge and dismiss people because they are closed-minded.
They didn't ask the usual or predictable questions and put some thought into it.

They didn't force me through a gauntlet of a lot of interviews. One phone, two in person. Questions were good.

I liked that I didn't have to wade through layers of annoying recruiters...I got to speak directly with the hiring manager early in the process.
Interviewer was skilled with great questions showing knowledge about the role's demands.
The interviewers were kind. But that was back when the company was a better place to work, and people's behavior came from a good place.
It is SO SLOW. Get the entire process moving and make decisions quicker.
Knowing the legacy of the company is such a good feeling. At least history is positive.

Seeing visitors have a great time and enjoying making memories while they are here.
Luckily there are some super nice people to work with. Once you find them, it makes the days more tolerable.
Thankfully there are a few super nice people as coworkers....and our guests are awesome and so great to meet.
Just listening to concerts and seeing bands, watching other people have a good time make you smile.
